Scenic Chairlift

Hop aboard the Scenic Chairlift ride at Mount Washington Alpine Resort and take in the stunning views of the Salish Seas and Strathcona Park. The Scenic Chairlift ride is an adventure for every member of the family.

Hiking/Parks

The Comox Valley has 53 parks to explore, more then 25 marked beach accesses and many kilometres of maintained trails on which horseback riders, cyclists, hikers and pet walkers can easily connect with nature.

Diving

If you are a diving enthusiast then the Comox Valley is the place for you. Dive with Six Gill Sharks off Hornby Island in the Summer, take a beach dive off Singing Sands Beach to a 70 foot sailboard wreck that is home to huge lingcod, octopus, rockfish and even an occasional lumpsucker. You can even learn to dive from one of the many dive shops in the area.

Kayak, SUP Rentals

A great way to explore the many rivers, lakes and the ocean bays is by Kayak, Canoe or SUP where you can quietly glide along sighting wildlike such as deer, seals, various bird and other wildlife. If you don’t have your own you can easily rent one or take a guided tour from one of our many shops.

Sailing

The Comox Valley is one of the most beautiful settings in the world for outdoor recreation, and when you consider the amount of water surrounding us, it’s no wonder that the sport of sailing attracts so many enthusiasts in our area. Whether you want to learn to sail with Compass Adventures or charter your own sailboat and enjoy and afternoon on the water with Desolation Sound Yacht Charters, the Comox Valley Visitor Centre can help you plan your day on the sea.
