The Comox Valley, Vancouver Island, boasts over 400 farms and some of the most stunning & abundant agricultural lands in the Province; and it only gets better when you can explore it on two wheels during the 6th Annual Comox Valley Farm Cycle Tour.
The Comox Valley Farm Tour allows cyclists of all skill levels and ages to experience the countryside of the region, as they discover the incredible array of farms. Meet local growers and sample fresh produce from the fields. Pick your pleasure; visit as many Tour Stops as you like and go at your own pace on this self-guided adventure.

*Cyclists will sign a waiver at the start location and be given their Farm Cycle Tour Map!
Shopping Shuttle ($5 surcharge):
Shop at the farms, wineries, or breweries without worrying about carrying the extra weight on your bike. Shopping Shuttle service can pick up your goods and deliver them back to you at the end of the day for only $5 per person.

Comox Valley Farmers’ Market
This year-round award winning market is not only a place to buy fresh, local food, but also a showcase for the talented musicians who live in the Comox Valley.
Town Tour: Trails & Tastes of Courtenay offers an opportunity to cycle in and around trails and routes that are best accessed by bicycle. We’ll weave our way through trails surrounded by lush forests, open roads with expansive views, and paved paths paralleling the river – allowing our guests to explore the community beyond what you see by vehicle or by foot. And like all Island Joy Rides tours, we’ve sprinkled in tastes of local food and refreshments at a few of our favourite places along the way.

Amara Farm is a certified organic farm that specializes in garlic, vegetables and blueberries. Come see how the farm is able to produce year-round in unheated greenhouses and taste their famous garlic scape jam. A special tour of the house’s geothermal and solar hot water heating system will also be provided for those interested in the sustainability side of farming.

Beaufort Vineyard and Estate Winery
At Beaufort we’re dedicated to crafting excellent, small batch wine and to environmental sustainability in our vineyard. The big barn at the top of the driveway has become our new tasting room and winery – it’s a happy mix of informal and elegant, and a great place to bring a picnic and enjoy the view of the vineyard and mountains.
Blue Haven Farm
Comox Valley’s local blueberry farm for over 25 years! Come down to our friendly, family run farm and pick your own blueberries! We offer three different varieties, in season from July to early September. Our farm stand and ice cream parlour offers pre-picked and frozen blueberries, our very own blueberry ice cream, blueberry sundaes, and a great selection of Island Farms hard and soft ice cream. We also make the best frozen yogurt in town, with real fruit ground in right in front of you. Enjoy a relaxing time picking blueberries or bring the kids down to teach them how their blueberries are grown. Then finish off your visit with our famous blueberry ice cream!

Our award winning fruit wines and ciders are crafted from 100% BC organic fruit, picked at the peak of the harvest and created in small batches.

At Clever Crow Farm, you will be delighted with the abundant gardens of vegetables and herbs, meandering ducks and chickens, and mountain views. We are also an artisan Sea Salt producer and Herb and Spice business too. You will be able to refresh your water bottles, have a glass of iced tea, sample some greens and soups, and ask as many gardening questions to Farmer Brian as you like.

Coastal Black Winery
Award winning 600-acre fruit winery. This family farm is made up of four generations living and working together to produce product of the highest standard, whether it be wine, fresh fruit, raw honey. Enjoy the West Coast tasting room where you will sample award winning fruit wines.
Award winning Forbidden Pale Ale, IPA, Stout, Saison, Also Lone Tree Cider and Hoyne Pilsner, all on tap.

At Garry Oak / Willow Works Courtenay, they germinate Garry Oak acorns, transplant the baby trees into pots, and distribute them for regeneration of the Garry Oak habitat that is now less than 1% of its former self.
This farm also grows 19 varieties of ornamental willow used for weaving and they are specifically grown for their non-invasive properties. They have willow structures and sculptures as well as living willow fences, or fedges (fence+hedge). Their willow is used for ornamental purposes, some varieties have great new growth colour, beautiful and unusual leaves, or flashy catkins.
