With over 400 farms and some of the most stunning & abundant agricultural lands in the province, it only gets better when you can explore it on two wheels!

The Comox Valley Farm Cycle Tour allows cyclists of all skill levels and ages to experience the countryside of the region, as they discover the incredible array of farms. Meet local growers and sample fresh produce from the fields. Pick your pleasure — visit as many of the 29 Tour Stops as you like and go at your own pace on this self-guided adventure.

$10 cash per person – pay when you grab your goodies at 5pm.

If you purchase products that you don’t want to carry on your bike:

STEP 1 – Call (250) 339-5252 to reserve your pickup. Must call in your pickup before 3:00 pm!

STEP 2 – Provide name of farm. *Don’t forget to write your contact info on the sticker and put it on your bag!

STEP 3 – Pick up your purchases and pay at the event start/registration location by 5:00 pm at 4838 Headquarters Road, Rotary Bowl (behind the Farmer’s Market)

  • Registration from 10:00 AM – 12:00 noon. Cyclists will sign a waiver at the start location and be given their Farm Cycle Tour Map
  • Volunteers with the Comox Valley Cycling Coalition will be on hand to suggest routes and assist with cycling related questions!
  • Farms are open from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Need to rent or tune up your bike?

The Broken Spoke will also be onsite offering a FREE tune-up for your bicycle.

Don’t have a bike, or travelling here from far away? No problem! Island Joy Rides will deliver bike rentals to the registration booth for anyone who pre-books!

After riding down our long winding Alder Lane, cyclists will arrive at our Farmhouse where we will offer a number of unique experiences. Nestled in the middle of a 116 acre forest our home is where we produce all the baking for Alderlane Farmhouse Bakery. Branching out into new ventures we have a ‘nano’ coffee roaster, roasting one pound at a time for custom orders, as well as the truly local experience of harvesting our maple trees for maple Syrup. We will offer a demonstration of how our evaporator works and educate people on the incredibly labour intensive process of collecting 60 litres of sap to make 1 litre of Beneath the Bark syrup. The covered back deck of our Farmhouse will also host people to sit down and enjoy a cup of Man In the Woods coffee and a fresh chocolate croissant for $5.00.

For Sale: Syrup ranging from $16-40. A limited amount of roasted coffee will be for sale $16.00-18.00. Coffee and a chocolate croissant on the back deck for $5.00.

Participants will be able to see new plantings of fall/winter plants, tour the garlic drying area, and see how seed saving happens on the farm with hands-on demonstrations of seed cleaning equipment
