Performing Arts in the Comox Valley
If you are looking to enjoy the performing arts while in the Comox Valley, you will not be disappointed as there are numerous events throughout the year, by top rated performers! You will be able to discover artist exhibitions, theatrical performances, plus dance, choral and musical offerings of all varieties. Not to be left out are the multitude of authors and writers that call the Comox Valley home, including the 2019-2021 Comox Valley Poet Laureate, Lawrence J. W. Cooper. The duties of the Poet Laureate’s two-year term include creating written works which celebrate or commemorate significant community events, engaging the community in literature and literacy, and making poetry and spoken word arts accessible to all. The CVPL is available for public appearances and offers regular poetry-driven events throughout the year.
