There is a lot of fun in store at the Courtenay Museum’s Spring Fling and Easter Things event which runs from 11am to 2pm on Saturday March 24th!
The ever-popular petting zoo (courtesy of Shamrock Gumboots 4H Club) gives folks a chance to meet lambs, kids (baby goats), ducks, geese, bunnies and chickens.
We’ve also invited some special guests from Magical Faces who will paint faces for a small fee and the Hot Chocolates Easter Rabbit who will be here between 12:30 and 1pm to hand out delicious chocolate samples. This year we welcome volunteers from Project Watershed and their mascot Newton Newt. The Elasmosaur mascot will be also making and appearance for fun photo opportunities. At 1pm, there will be a fun mascot race between the Newt and Elasmosaur! and a Dinosaur Egg Hunt. Try your skills at the carrot toss, and guess how many treats contest. People can also enter to win Easter Door Prizes.
We hope you can join us. Admission is by donation with half of the proceeds going to the Shamrock Gumboots 4H Club.
