Fresh From The Farm
With so many independent growers and makers in the region, our year-round Comox Valley Famers’ Market has become a cornerstone community event.
The Market runs Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays at different locations in Courtenay and Cumberland, depending on the time of year. A visit to the market will give you a feel for the breadth and variety of local offerings, with many of the local farms and farm stands descending upon the weekly market with a table of their freshest products.
There’s nothing better than a freshly brewed coffee and a pastry in hand while moseying around the stalls and with live music in the background. Come on down to the Market and get your day started off right!
Saturday Market
In the spring, summer, and early fall the Courtenay market operates every Saturday from 9am-1pm at the Comox Valley Exhibition Grounds on Headquarters Road. In the winter, the market moves to a (partly) indoor location at the Native Son’s Hall and parking lot in downtown Courtenay from October to April.
Sunday Market
In the summer months, Cumberland hosts the Sunday market at the Cumberland Village Square from July through September.
Also, on Sundays from 3-6pm, from the end of May to September, The Merville Gumboot Market is located at the Merville Hall off Hwy 19A. Take a Sunday drive through the countryside and support the rural artisans; you'll find a diverse collection of farmers, artisans, bakers, artists, and sometimes live music!
Wednesday Market
The Wednesday Market is held in downtown Courtenay in the summer months on England Avenue (5th Street at England Avenue). Stop by between 3 and 6pm to stock up on midweek produce.
Help support local growers and makers while brushing shoulders with the locals and getting a feel for the community; all while sampling the freshest, most flavourful food on offer.
