Comox (14,028 – Statistics Canada, 2016) is the second-largest municipality in the Comox Valley and contains a multitude of economic assets that are significant on a regional scale, including a vibrant harbour and adjacent waterfront areas, the downtown, 19 Wing Comox and the Comox Valley Airport (YQQ).

Business Licence Information – To operate within the Town of Comox, you will be required to purchase a business license. Due to Inter-municipal bylaw amendments, you may be able to receive a business license for both the Town of Comox and the City of Courtenay.

Zoning Bylaws – The Town of Comox Bylaws contain provisions that regulate the use, size, height, density and location of buildings on properties within the Town.

Official Community Plan – Our Official Community Plan provides a policy framework for Council by addressing important issues such as housing, transportation, economic development and the environment.
Downtown Revitalization – Comox Downtown Vitalization was specified as one of the priorities in the 2012-2014 Strategic Plan. A range of incentive tools were chosen, and in June 2014 Council adopted several bylaws, including Downtown Revitalization Tax Exemption Bylaw No. 1784, to encourage Downtown Vitalization.
