Allow us to introduce you to Leslie Cox, one of the local authors that is featured here at the Vancouver Island Visitor Centre Gift Shop and Online Store. First and foremost, Leslie Cox is a gardener who is passionate about plants and nature. She also loves to write and there is a lot to write about in a garden. Since 2004, her gardening column has been appearing regularly in the Comox Valley Record newspaper under her pen name, Duchess of Dirt. She has also written articles for several magazines including Gardens West and Canadian Living. Leslie is passionate in sharing her knowledge about plants, insects and the art of gardening. She teaches courses, gives presentations to garden clubs and organizations and teaches individual workshops.
